These bags are used for dust and liquid filtration.

Used for filtration of straight or waste vegetable oil (SVO or WVO) these bags are capable of filtering many litres of oil before needing to be replaced (depends on the initial cleanliness and fat levels of the oil)

If your oil is well used and has a high fat content the use of a "bag liner" eg stocking or fine mesh allows for easier cleaning. I initially strain my oil, after settling though a green woollies shopping bag, this helps remove a lot of fat and also any large detritus.

This bag hold about 12 litres of oil. I suspend the bag above a 20 litre tin and if the oil is clean it will flow freely and finish in about 10 - 15 minutes.

The bag has a 175mm (7 inch) steel neck ring with, width of 280mm (11 inches) and length of 400mm (16 inches)

These bags are also excellent for a final filter into your water tank, removes most of the debris that washes from your roof, they remove leaves, dust and the various bits of birds from my tanks :-)

This fibrous material is effective by trapping larger particles on the coarse inner layer and the finer particles in the fibres of the bag. The bag is long life (dependant 0n feedstock of course) and generally is not affected with the addition of light differential pressure to enhance filtering. The bag is supported by a steel neck ring ring.
